Deal Strategy
At Dragonfly Legal, we can help with your acquisition or divestiture, both in the planning and execution phases. We'll help you create a Deal Strategy, which is much more than a target price for your negotiation: together, we'll develop a comprehensive and realistic understanding of the key deal points and a detailed plan for achieving them. We'll help you prioritize those deal points, understand potential tradeoffs, and anticipate potential challenges ahead - including possible strategies of other negotiating parties. We'll also think through the required operational implementation of the deal, ensuring that a successful agreement will be executed to your benefit.
Deal Plan Development
After your Deal Strategy is complete, Dragonfly will then craft a Deal Plan that clearly communicates each element of what we've developed. Deliverables include:
- An agreed-upon, prioritized deal points list
- Delineated responses and potential tradeoffs
- A detailed strategy for achieving your desired results
- An agreed-upon deal “positioning” or “theme” that will be used both internally and externally to advance your strategy
- A timeline that identifies the key milestones and what is required by all parties in order to achieve them
- A “talking point” brief that will help align your company's resources and staff, ensuring that all involved understand and actively promote your strategy
- A meeting schedule and output documentation that helps all stakeholders stay aligned throughout different parts of the negotiation
The Deal Plan is continually revisited and updated in light of new or changing information, but the Deal Strategy itself remains fairly consistent throughout. Together, these services create a deal in which all key decision makers understand how each key deal point has been negotiated - and support the final result.
